
Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19th 2008) was an American film, theatre television, and voice actress. Pleshette started her stage career and was featured in films in the late 1950s. In later years, she was an important actor in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 until 1978 Pleshette appeared regularly in various TV productions. She also appeared in Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish, the descendants of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
